Jamberry the review!!

*Disclaimer: This post contains products that were GIFTED in exchange for a review.

I recently received some Nail wrap samples for free for this review. Of course all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jamberry is a company that specialises in do it yourself nail wraps. The idea was created and set up in 2010 by 3 sisters called Keri, Christy and Lyndsey after they had the realisation of how expensive nail salon trips were (Which I totally agree with!)

The brand now sells over 300 unique and varied nail wrap designs. A full set of nail wraps retails for the lovely price of £15.00

I received two sample nail wraps. One design was a clear polko dot pattern and the second a very patriotic union jack flag design. Which both looked stunning.

Now I'm going to just explain to you, that when it comes to anything nail related. Even something as basic as applying nail polish. I literally have no patience what so ever.
I usually apply two coats of nail polish, get bored waiting for it to dry and start trying to do things, which I'm sure your aware means, yup. Lots of smudged nails and chipping.

So onto the application of the nails! Which quite honestly if your like me when it comes to anything nail related. You will be gobsmacked at how easy this process it.

Application

Firstly I Selected the nail design that I wanted. I went for the polko dots. obviously!

However,  this particular pattern, had a clear base. So I decided to add a pop of colour to my own nail first. I applied one coat of my nail polish colour of choice and let it dry completely.

I then went back to my nail wrap set and selected the wrap to fit the correct size nail.

I cut the wrap in half, placing one half to the side so that I could use it on my other hand.

And then all I did was hold one half of the wrap between my fore finger and my thumb.Making sure that the sticky side of the wrap was facing outwards
I turned on my hair dryer, and held it towards the wrap for about 3 seconds (you can tell when the adhesive is ready because it goes really floppy and easy to move)

I then took the nail wrap and smoothed it completely flat onto my nail, and pressed it down until it stuck. Also make sure the wraps entirely flat or you will have air bubbles.

Once your nail wrap is stuck to your nail, you will have some excess material hanging over your nail. All you need to do is take your scissors and cut down the amount of excess, next take your nail file, and file of the remaining excess in a downward motion.

Bada bing bada boom! Job Done! Then you need to get your camera ready for your Instagram nail pics!

Removal

So for the sake of this review, I of course had to include the removal process. My experience with the nail wraps was that they lasted a full week, before I even seen a single sign of wear and tear.

To remove the wraps all I done was took some nail polish remover and popped it onto a cotton pad. I held it against my nail to soak for a minute or two.
Then all I done was found an edge of the wrap that had lifted slightly and peeled it off. Job done!

My thoughts!

So to put a long story short. I was super impressed with these nails wraps. The fact that I could have salon quality nails that lasted as long as they did and probably would have lasted longer had I not being working constantly, was amazing.

I also thought that the £15 price was a total bargain when you compare it to the price you would pay for nail application, maintenance and removal at a salon.

The designs themselves are absolutely beautiful and packed with detail.

The application sounds complicated but when I actually done so, much to my surprise it was an easy and hassle free process.
Time wise, I definitely think that the more you apply these wraps, the quicker and easier it will become. Practise makes perfect!

The wraps were long lasting, showed no signs off wear and tear. The only thing was towards the end of the first week I had some peeling in the corner off my nail. However a quick blast with the hair dryer and pressing the corner back down, sorted that issue out.

All in all, this product is definitely worth every penny paid, and is something I would probably find myself purchasing over and over again.
There is a wide selection of nail wraps available, with every possible design and for every occasion you can think off!
